I have always made my gravy from scratch. I get compliments every time it’s made & it’s SUPER easy, even allergy friendly! Give it a try! Serves 6-8 people. Takes about 15 mins to make.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup turkey drippings, OR 4 TB cornstarch/arrowroot powder dissolved in 4 TB water
- 1/3 cup any all-purpose gluten free flour (contains xantham gum)
- 1 cup canned coconut milk, full fat, OR oat milk (if you can’t do coconut)
- 3 cups chicken or turkey broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4-1/2 tsp pepper, to taste
- giblets from turkey, diced finely, optional
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a pan on medium heat till thick and creamy (about 10-15 mins). Stir occasionally so the gravy doesn’t burn.
